Me and H2B are having our wedding reception/evening do in a village hall due to lack of funds. Now, I don't want it to look like the hall for my wedding for obvious reasons. I was hoping to have the inside of it looking like a marquee, with muslin draped from the ceiling covering all of the walls. I'm having the chairs and tables covered and pedestals/vases/birdcages of flowers around the room. Do you think that will be enough to transform a room? Or does anyone have any other ideas? Thanks :)

There's these things called fairy light backdrops. They completely transform a room! I've seen them on don't tell the bride! However, I think the hire of them is quite expensive!

Yes i was going to suggest the tissue pompoms on strings like bunting too, friend had this in her marquee wedding earlier this year and it looked really good! Or if not then maybe a balloon arch or lots of helium filled balloons with long strings draping down?
