How many of you girls getting married in a churh are having it decorated? Im getting married in december so am hoping there will be christmassy stuff in the church as I cant afford decorations for the church. Is it essential and will it look strange not having any decorations?

We are putting bows on the pews and having the flower ladies do a couple of arrangements.I think less is more in churches.

we are getting married in our church, there are 42 pews ends so cant afford to have pew end flowers on all of them, so we are only have 10 pew in flowers and i have bought 40 white pull through bows which i am going to put on myself the night before and we are having 2 pedestals. have been to couple of weddings where they havent decorated the church i dont think it looks weird after all people arent there to look at flowers they are there to watch u get married. i got my bows of ebay for about £20 u could always do something like that if u really want something there xx
cant wait to renew my vows, love my hubby sssssooooo much xx

just had a thought if u have flowers at the church u could always see if u could have them made so that they could double up as your centre pieces and just get the florist to take them from the church to your venue for u then if they need to be tweeked abit she will be able to do that xx
cant wait to renew my vows, love my hubby sssssooooo much xx
That is a good idea hun but I was thinking of making my own centre pieces to save some money. I think i will go for the bows, they will look nice x

Hi, We did big bouquet of flowers for the front and some bows on chairs, like pouci-loo is thinking of, and it was lovely. You do not need to do much.

I fund some cheap little flower hearts in The Range, so going to hang those on the pews instead of bows (although I have bought loads of ribbon should I need to do some big bows!) and just a few bits of flowers and candles. Not going to go nuts. We're in there for 45 mins - more worried about decorating the reception!

Ever thought of contacting the Vicar and asking if it would be possible to let other brides have your number...then you could talk about 'sharing' Church decorations...
