not been on her for a long time. Just had another baby girl :) so wedding plans have been on hold.
Decided 2 weeks ago that my other half didn't want to get married here, so i've been driving myself mad trying to get prices together for cyprus.
We're still on a VERY limited budget, so planning to do everything myself. Looking at renting a huge villa that sleeps 24 and has it's own honeymoon suite(!!)
We've asked family and most people have said they will be happy to come, but we'll see how many will actually come. we're not paying for people to come over, so they will have to pay for themselves.
anyone any tips on how i can do this without paying a planner or having to stay in an overpriced hotel???
i'm looking at getting married in peyia town hall (looks beautiful)

Im getting married in Majorca.....
When we were looking through travel agents nobody caters for spanish weddings in Majorca unless u do it yourself.
So I am booking flights with Easjet as soon as they are on sale in October and the accomodation aswell. We are just going to book a self-catering apartment close to the beach. It is hard though, you will have to fly out their a couple of times before the wedding. Research on the net for wedding planners and just email them and ask for some initial advice on how to book your wedding venue (church, beach wedding etc). We done that and the lady that we found was very helpful and said she was going to the church the following day anyway on other matters and booked it for us because we couldn't get through on the phone number. We also have found a lovely mexican resturant which is right next to the church and we are going to have a BBQ outdoors with a big gazebo etc. So we have booked that aswell. H2B is flying out their in October for 3 nights to pay for the church and the priest and also put down a deposit for the reception as we dont have a definite on numbers yet. He is also going to try and look around some wedding cake shops and transport aswell while he's out their. It is very time consuming i think but will be well worth it on the day :-D xx

Congrats on the little one - hope you are both well. We're doing it in France, so we're going over there next month to secure the venue and start looking around then will go over again a few times next year. The venue owner is English and helps with all the arrangements which has been a big help. Try and get a venue with an English speaking co-ordinator xx
Engaged 20th May 2011 - Times Square, New York

hey thank you!! she's a wee cracker :)
we can't really afford to go over there to look for venues, so i'm trawling the internet looking at reviews from everyone.
i quite like the idea of having the reception at the villa and just getting caterers in, but my aunt doesn't think it would be a good idea. i think it's perfect as the kids can go to bed when they want or play in the pool. it's got a pool table and massive garden/patio/pool area. plus the party can go on as long as we want.
i really can't wait to actually put some deposits down!!! :D

you need to see and write down all pro and cons ... especially if you cant see the venue your self you will have to trust pictures they send you... u need to try to find out every detail over phone/ email etc also all the things what you will need to get married there :)
congrats on your daughter :) ---happy planning---

Food in the local stores tend to be a bit more expensive than the enligsh supermarkets and supermarket in Phaops, espcially up in the higher bit Peyia they are more like Spar but stock everything.
The resturant are cheaper and there is an amazing resturant overlooking the sea at the bottom of Peyia which would have some amazing photos opportunites. Joe and I thought about having a recpetion their. The food was so good last year

Hi, We used ********************************** to organise our wedding in Cyprus, they ended up finding us an all inclusive hotel (cheaper than anything we'd found ourselves). Maybe see if they can help.

Sorry I havent been on here over the weekend. The resturant is called the last castle.. Its really pretty views and amazing and the food it good. Its near the Avakas Gorge which is kind of in Paphos but I also think of it below peyia.
I dont think they have their own website but there are lots of pictures on u tube with the veiws.. There would be some many lovely photo opportuneties.
