I recieved a gift card from debenhams yesterday and they said that it will get activated with £50 if we set up a gift list with them and the guests spend £250 or over on it. We hadnt even thought of the gift list or anything like that but hubby was thinking we should maybe set 1 up.

    xx

we are going to ask people to give money towards our honeymoon. we will have lived together over 4 years and we aren't really the sorts of people to have ornamants and nic nacs , every wedding we have been to recently has asked the same so i hope people don't think it's rude

we are asking for money towards our honeymoon fund too. i would rather have the money to go places on honeymoon rather than something else to dust or stick in a cupboard. x

We have a traditional gift list as we find money impersonal. Also we hardly own any house things.

yeah we're doing a poem to politely ask for money - all of our guests know that we wont mean it rudely just we dont know if we're stayin in this country or moving abroad just yet so buying things for a house just isnt what we need kinda thing x

    Happily Married! :) xxx

I was going to ask for contributions towards a honeymoon as cant afford one plus ive had my own house for about 15 years now so dont really need anything. BUT ive done a little gift list from argos just in case ppl find this rude (ie my mum). Thers only a few t5hings on it tho like bedding for us AND the kids as were making the day about all five of us not just us two. And things like plates and tea spoons as ours always dissapear lol.
