    Hi guys,

Just wondered what the 'standard' save the date protocol was....

Do you give the same save the dates to day guests and evening guests
    Or
    Just day guests
    Or
Use different ones for day guests and evening guests?

I was planning on using a simple picture with our initials on inside a heart with the date written underneath. Wasn't going to mention day/evening on them but I don't want evening guests to assume they are invited to the day..... The proper invite will have day/evening on but they won't be until closer to the time and I don't want to offend people if they've assumed.

    Hope that makes sense!
    Any ideas?
    H x

We sent our out as either,
Save the Date or Save the Evening
Just so it give everyone enough notice so they know where they stand invite wise, ours were only £24.50 for 70 I think. Inwouldnt send save the dates to everyone in case they assume then it's awkward when you send invites out, hope this helps xx

As above, save the date or save the evening, otherwise evening peeps might expect a day invite

As already said, I wouldn't just send standard save the dates to evening guests - if I received one I would assume I was invited to the day I think. I would send save the dates to day guests and save the evenings to evening guests. We never bothered in the end as everyone knew the date via word of mouth anyway so we're just sending out invites xx

Just to day guests, as they were the "most important" ones so to speak. Evening guests are more flexible, they may also think they are invited to the whole day if you send them a save the date.

We didn't send STD's as such, we just wrote a little message in with Christmas cards to save the trouble, but only to those invited to the whole day.
