Everything Wedding-y I've seen is always silver, but I really want to dress my bridesmaids up in dark purple, with a bright pink lillie hair clip in their hair (pink lillies are my flowers my h2b has always boaght me) with gold coloured shoes, and even a gold coloured wrap/shawl to keep them warm if the weather turns on us......the colours seem to work in my head, but am I making a amssive fashion faux-pau? I don't do art and my fashion sense is at best; awful - could someone tell me if these colours just don't go??

if im honest im not sure if pink lillies will go with dark purple dresses. pink lillies are my fav flowers and my bm dresses are purple!
prehaps if you found a pic it may be easier to picture and may just go xx

i think if its a pale gold or champagne it will work, are you going to put a champagne sash on the dresses??? i think that would bring the gold in a bit more

I think your colours work well together. I've put my MOH in purple with a gold sash and bolero. Have you thought about adding some purple or gold into your bouquet?
