so the MIL had questioned me the other day about why i was having my mum give me away and not my dad. Even though i have explained to her and she already knows that my dad has never really been there for me and my sister and has only the past few years got in contact. Am i right or not why should i keep to tradition if my father has not been there for me but my mum has?? also she started questioning me about the first dance 'father and bride' is she deliberatly trying to make me feel bad?? i dont know but it feels that way ?? waht do you guys think??

i would stick with your mum, my grampa died jan 2010 but if he had been alive i would rather of had him than my dad.Not that my dad hasn't been their for me but my grampa was so much closer to me i owuld have felt it more right, as i am sure you do your mum.
If i was you i would their for stick to who you feel more comfortable with, or have them both if you wanted to try and compromise?
