since choosing my dress with my moh and mum, i feel like it's really hit home about getting married. and even though it's like 17 months till the wedding, i keep feeling nervous every time i think about it. im not the sort of person to make myself centre of attention, just knowing that one person is watching me do something makes me a little nervous. so i dread to think how bad i will be on the day or the week leading to it. so what i wanted to ask you all is do you have any really good remedies/advice for keeping nerves down (apart from Kalms cus i'll have those to hand), and also for nervous indigestion (which i used to suffer from badly after my first child). thanks xx

If you suffer from nerves generally and not just about the wedding I would get some CBT (cognitive behavioural therapy) Its great for sorting out things like that and solving the problem rather than just masking over it.

This is my 2nd marriage coming up.....
On my 1st wedding day, i bought some Rescue Remedy.... Rescue Remedy is a Bach Flower extract. It comes in a little brown bottle with a dropper - you're supposed to put a couple of drops on your tongue.... and it helped...just to calm down and keep the nerves more or less under control...I still felt extremely nervous, but I was in charge of them and they weren't in charge of me.
I think anything that helps is worth using, and I find that Rescue Remedy doesn't make you feel spaced out, it just helps to calm the nerves a little...Rescue Remedy is effective for taking the edge off intense anxiety, nervousness, shock etc; not for eradicating it altogether.
Try it...

lol if its just wedding nerves hunni use rescue remedy but you need to start a good month before. It's herbal non addictive and really takes away the nausea and panick that comes with the wedding jitters or exam jitters for that matter too! xx

hey I've been quite nervy as of recent too, its a nightmare but I'm letting certain peoples opinions really get to me and it was doing my head in, I started using rescue remedy which was fab, the spray one and they've now brought out a capsule thing, you should try it, but I've also went back to using calms, my blood pressure has been high since december and I thought I'd try them again to see if it was maybe my nerves causing the bp to be high and I feel a lot calmer in myself so hopefully it will work at next bp check.
hope rescue remedy works for you, but maybe its not nervousness and just excitement? let me know how you get on xx
