Right I know I've asked in both General & 2013 Weddings threads but for those who don't read those can I ask your opinions.

Am looking into cufflinks for the males of the bridal party.
Groom, Best Man, Father of Bride, 2 Ushers & Page Boy.

Originally we were thinking about having the standard personalised square cufflinks, I found them in turquoise so that was perfect for our colours!
So they would all have the correctly corresponding cufflink as follows:
    Cufflink #1
    Cufflink #1

Then I forgot I had come across these:
    Cufflink #2
    Cufflink #2

Which I did show my OH at one point and he absolutely loves them.
So whilst looking tonight I've come across these again and I do love them and they do go with our slight Disney incorporation but I asked OH what he thought and he definitely wants them but not sure whether the turquoise personalised would go as well with it. Even though we like the idea of Groom having something different.

BUT!!! We did come across these:
    Cufflink #3
    Cufflink #3

Obviously in correctly corresponding cufflinks for each member of the bridal party.
We can get Grooms Brother & Brides Brother instead of Ushers and Page Boy for the 6 year old in these.

Which as it happens sort of 'matches', well in my warped logical thinking it does. Cut out words to match a cut out Mickey.

What my question to you ladies is,

i would say get no.3 for everyone, then get no.2 for groom as a after ceremony pressie (he could choose to swap them over then)

The Mickey ones are great . I didn't vote for any as I absolutely hate waste and cute as they are I feel 'best man' 'usher' etc are so wasted after that one day - so I'd get them all Mickey :)

    Thanks for your opinions ladies.
I know they wont get used again but i thought it would be a nice keepsake...
I totally agree on waste and not being used again, but not everyone likes Disney the way we do, and to be honest they are more expensive than the others. However, if you think about it though, are you going to use your dress or veil again?

    Hmmm!! x

I think it's a nice keepsake to have their roles on their cuff links. Not everyone would wear Disney cuff links again either so I think it's better to be a keepsake than practical.

    Thanks Joanna.
Like I said the Disney ones aren't cheap so I'd happily buy those as a present for OH for the big day, but i'm struggling with TY gifts for the boys so may as well get them something as a keepsake.. that also means they have their cufflinks sorted! x

I also think getting everyone the mickey mouse ones is a good idea. I think they look really nice, a 'young' theme, but done in a simple elegant and adult way. The groom likes them, and I'm sure the page boy would be excited about them!

Yes, the named ones may be nice keep sakes, but since mickey mouse ties in with your theme, why wouldn't they be a nice keep sake as well?

I was thinking that but at same time, not everyone likes Disney the way we do, thats our issue.
Then i was also thinking we're trying to have hints of it, not full on, so everyone in the same cufflinks wouldnt that be too much ?!

Or how about getting them all different cufflinks? Maybe the mickey mouse for groom and page boy, and then something personal for each of the others? I think any cufflinks you get them for your wedding could be viewed as a keepsake. If its something to do with their hobby, favourite band etc then they're likely to wear them again as well, it will feel like you've thought about them, and could be viewed as a gift as well then.

yeh i was thinking about that LittleMissWorry but the others i was going to get their fav footi teams as all support the same HOWEVER both my father and brother already have so then that leaves OHs bro and best man. It would be too many different ones in that instance!
None of them really wear cufflinks all that often so as a keepsake and a thank you gift it sorta works... i cant think what else to get them! x

I ordered last night, we've gone for #2 for Groom, that goes without saying & decided on the #3 for everyone else.
Whatever I get will be only used once, same goes for half the stuff we are ordering anyway including my dress so can be used as a nice keepsake rather than something practical that they will wear again!

thanks for your opinions ladies xx

Good call ;) That was what I voted for :) It's nice to spend your money on things that will be used again and again but that is not always possible and I think they will make excellent keepsakes xx
