We have now decided to delay the wedding and get married in cuba, after high venue prices and family been annoying. I know it will cost thousands more to get married in cuba but some how I feel 2 weeks in cuba plus my wedding seems better value for money (£9,500 for 8 people) than feeding all my family for £4,000 especially considering when I add on registrar, cars, photographer, flowers ect I wont be far off £7,000 and thats for 1 day, with family b***ting. Sorry for little rant just annoyed with family recently.
Does anyone have any experience of wedding in cuba???

I dont have any experience of it but it looks beautiful hun! You're right too, it's would be worth far more spending a little extra on people you really want there with honeymoon incorporated, than spend a fortune on extended family that you dont see/particularly like. We were originally going to get married abroad but I wanted my gran and younger brothers there and they wouldnt have flown, also for me I couldnt imagine sharing my honeymoon with my mum and motherinlaw lol x

Hiya hun I was in Cuba in April and it's an amazing destination to get married! We saw lots of weddings whilst we were there. When choosing your hotel/venue I would ask: - How many weddings they have daily - at ours there were upto 4 a day! - Where you will hold your wedding breakfast - What are the choices as to where you get married ie Beach, Inside arrangement etc
I'd be looking into documents quite soon, me and my H2B considered getting married there a couple of months before we went and from what I remember there were quite a lot of documents to organise and translate before going.
I agree with the above poster re questions to ask. I'd def ask the first one, as when we were in Mexico there were about 4 weddings a day at the resort we were at, and it felt very impersonal, a bit like a 'conveyor belt', which put me off; I'd much prefer somewhere doing only 1 wedding a day.
I would also ask what their contingency plans are if it rains: Cuba has a tropical climate and rain isn't uncommon, so find out what will happen if it's raining on the day, and if you're happy with that.
