I have done a search and I can't seem to find a thread already like this but I do apologise if there is one and MODS feel free to sink it if you think you have to x
I have been wondering for a few day's now how much scatter crystals you should use on each table. I googled it and a lot of the website's I found said around 100 crystals, I've also asked a few people and they have said the same thing.
How many would you suggest and how many are you using?? Are you using one size and mixing them and what colours, one colour or a mix?

The 'standard' is 100 6.5mm crystals per table, so the smaller you have eg the 4.5mm, the more you need about 150 to 200 per table. To be honest, it is up to the individual and what effect you want to acheive. I have dressed tables with many more crystals at a brides request but you have to remember there is alot going on already

I'm looking at the same thing right now on ebay :D what sizes are you thinking? I'm having a dark green theme and was thinking black crystals as all the other table decs are going to be green? Not sure whether to mix and match the sizes as yet though x

Yeah I think 100 sound's about right too. I think I'll use the 6mm and the 12mm so will use about 50 of each?!
It's interesting to know what other people would use, I loved to see a table with a LOT of crystals on, just to see what the effect is but I wouldn't do it myself lol

i bought crystals in size 4.5mm they look sooooo small but real nice i bet u need defo more of them the smaller they are... but also guess that it depends how huge the tables are...

the 12mm are very large and more like a 'highlight' punchy crystal rather than a good mixer. If you want a mix I would personally go for 4.5mm and 6mm and use just a few of the 12mm. If you just want 6mm and 12mm go for mainly 6mm and about a dozen or so 12mm

I have 4000 clear which im going to put on the table runners (8 tables including top) then i have 200 black ones for the cake table

i've bought the 4mm ones and they are so small but so sparkly :o) I've bought 3000 for 4 big round tables, top table and the cake table. That should be more than enough but only bought 1000 to start with so got some more and I could only get a pack of 2000!

no probably not! I'm going to use as many as I think looks tasteful and I imagine there will be plenty left - I'd have only bought another 1000 but couldn't get another pack that size so had to get 2000 instead! They're really pretty though, I got the aqua blue ones :o)

I've got 2000 4.5mm crystals and 1000 6.5mm crystals to spread between top table, cake table and 6 dinner tables. We're also having the tall cocktail tables set up in the evening by the bar and around the dancefloor (space for drinks / handbags etc) so wanted some for there too. Thought I may have had too many but looking at this thread I feel very at ease now lol x

I paid £3.50 for 2000 with free p&p and then I paid £2 for the pack of 1000 with 99p p&p - probably could have gotten them cheaper but I wanted that particular colour and size so just had to pay it. I love the colour, it matches our bridesmaids dresses perfectly :o) We can't get the flowers to match so are matching the colour with the scatter crystals, chair sashes and water pearls to go in the vases for the centrepieces. Its going to be pretty :o)

hmm i got auqa blue onces and i paid between 3-4 pound for 3000 but ordered some to match a bit in teal i love auqa... and couldnt decide really on flowers havent got a clue yet as there arent any auqa blue flowers i guess... but might mix some white roses with some darker blue flowers...

Ooh pretty :o) I'm having gerberas and decided I wanted fresh so obviously can't have blue! So I'm having a fuscia, white and yellow handtied, and the bridesmaids are having white and fuscia as it will contrast really well with their dresses :o) The centrepieces are going to be white and fuscia with the aqua water pearls, hopefully it will look really bright and colourful, thats the idea anyway!

no they're these plastic type beads that you put in water and they absorb it - you use them in floral displays instead of water and they keep the flowers fresh but look really pretty too! they go a bit soft like jelly when they're full. You can get them on ebay in loads of different colours! xx
