Seriously considering making my own invites, especially as my idea is quite complicated (and therefore more expensive) and now that I have mastered foil printing and can print in lovely shiny writing I think I can give it a go.

I put my graphic designs into a photo album on my page, I would appreciate it if some lovely brides could have a look and give me some feedback, i'd really like to hear from people who have made theres with some opinions on how difficult it was haha!

I think they look pretty!! The only thing i would change is that i personally find them a bit plain but they are pretty and simple!

I wish i could make my own but i wouldn't know where to start or what to do or how much it costs.
I want to do DIY invites but my friend is an art teacher and she loves doing anything that means she gets to cut, glue, stick and perfect so i've left my ideas in her hands. If it saves me time then i don't mind.

They look great. I would just try one and see how it goes. I am making my own and have had a play around with how i want them. It's quite easy, but I am not doing any foil printing. Just make a test one and see how you find it.

Marrying.Ryan did you order pre-cut card or did you cut and fold everything yourself? It seems relatively cheap (compared to the cost of some of the invites i've seen) to buy the pre-cut and folded card, and just do the glue, printing and decorating myself. x

I ordered them pre cut with envelopes and blank inserts and everything of the bay of e. I think I spent 12GBP on 80 invitations. Plus I enjoy crafty things, so I am actually looking forward to doing them. I just need to finalise my guest list and choose the wording :) x

    Thanks guys! :)

I've ordered 1 of each pre cut card (and reversed so with a white pocketfold and blue backing on the inserts) so I can have a go at one in each style and see what looks good (or how hard it is)

    :)
