I have a little book calories counter (packed away though) maybe online you can find a calorie counter, for each part of your recipe (curry can be different) and add everything up just check there's a website called calorie counter .co.uk and if you have an iphone just google calorie counter app.

Lol what I do is work out the raw ingredients for the dish and save them as a meal for the next time I make it. Its a pain when you first set up but the next time that you use it all you have to do is click the chicken curry meal. You can add everything for the whole dish you cook and then just add a portion size to your diary.

Ps I also do it for my breakfast meals etc too so I just click breakfast meal rather than the cereal and then the milk.

Karlie and Gem are on there too so you can add them as friends.

It does help you to stay on track. It also teaches me just how bad certain foods that I thought were OK and portion control. I never knew just how many cals were in some boiled potatoes until I weighed them and found out I was eating 300g not 100g.

It also lets me know when I can reward myself with treats without having to feel guilty about it too. I find things like jaffa cakes and jelly are great when you need a sweet fix without the cals.

I can't do much with my back and sometimes spend the whole day in bed but I still managed to lose a stone in a month just by watching what I ate. I just wish I could stick to it to lose it again as I put it all back on over xmas by not watching what I was doing.

I binge when I'm stressed out, bored or depressed or deprive myself of something. I just can't help myself. I'm trying to get some CBT help for it so it will help long term. 80% of the time I'm really good and eat well but when I do binge its ridiculous and I can't stop myself. Its like something just takes over me. I know it stems from childhood issues but I just want to get it fixed now rather than just papering over the cracks.

No its just using myfitnesspal. You have an app you can put on your phone or use it on the laptop to work out how much you have eaten. Its easy to do as most of the stuff you eat is on their database so it works it all out for you and if it isn't on there you can add it and it is there the next time you want to use it.

It helps you work out where you are going wrong with your diet and helps to keep a track on things. As you can log whole dinners too it doesn't take up that much time to do.

So last night I went to the fridge, we have block of hard cheese, peppers, eggs and aero mousse (mmmmm) so I went on MFP to see what was best, obv the peppers were, but I wanted chocolate, saw there were about 80 cals in a mousse and made a cup of tea and had that instead, mind over matter, I didnt need anything I was just watching tv bored. xxxxx

Yeah I'm starting to use it all the time now. I need to. It really does help me to make the right choices when it comes to eating dinners and it can shock you enough to stop eating something when you find out how many calories are in it. At the same time if you have been really good you know that you can have an indulgence of something nice without feeling bad.

I also like the bit at the end of the day that tells you what you could weight in 5 weeks time if you keep eating like today. It really helps to motivate me. If I carry on the way I am in 5 weeks time I will be the same weight as when I lost it all the last time. Yay!
