We are paying £15 per head for a drinks package which includes a drink on arrival, wine + top up during dinner and sparkling wine for the toast... do you think i need to count children in this? They cant drink alcohol anyway but do you think i should count them in still as will be drinking soft drinks or do you think i should ask the venue if they are half price or something?

Our venue doesn't do non-alcoholic packages, so for non-drinkers we're going to offer a non-alcoholic cokctail during the welcome drinks (served in a flute same as the buck's fizz), and then allow them to order soft drinks of their choice during the meal; soft drinks are priced at about £2 each, so we've budgeted £15 a head, which should be MORE than enough (can't see many people having 7 drinks with their food lol)

We managed to negotiate and got all non-alcoholic welcome drinks (fruit cocktail) and jugs of water for the tables free of charge - soft drinks they need to get from the pay bar but we asked to approve the bar list so we know our guests won't get fleeced for drinks charges!
