I've been looking at wedding cars for the day, a Vintage/Classic car (for me and Dad on way to Church then me and H2B from Church to reception venue) then a second larger car not necessarily have to be a classic car (for mum, BM's etc. - prob to take 6 or 7 passengers).
The prices we're looking at at the moment it's going to set us back around £800 for two cars!
What's everyone else paying for their cars? Am I looking at the wrong companies or is this about right?

We are paying £295 for an Austin Princess-it seats 7 not including the driver. To reduce costs we are just having one car.It will make one trip to the Church with bridesmaids,Mum and brother before returning for me and Dad.Again after the ceremony it will take bms,mum etc to the venue and then return for me and h2b.Is that something that you could consider? xxx

Hmmm, my Church is a 45-50 mins drive from my parents house where I'll be getting ready with my sis and best mate and obviously parents. Then the reception is 15 mins drive from the Church. We'll defo need two cars as me and H2B (and I think Dad) have our hearts set on a classic Bentley as the main car which will only take two in the back and one in front.
Your cars sound really good value Stacey.

That does sound amazing. I did look at nice modern Mercs too but to be honest they were working out just as expensive - I think I might be looking at the wrong companies but I did google search on my area and that's what came up, so as our hearts are set on a classic car, for the same price we may aswell go for it, it's just so expensive :(

Wish we could get away with just the one car but the Church and reception venue are both a good 25-30 miles from our home :(

We are paying £800 for three cars they are all vintage 1930s I think he did want £1100 buty dad said that we would pay cash so he dropped it to £800. The drivers are going to be dressed up in vintage uniforms.
Our venue is about 40 minutes from my parents house and about 50 minutes from my Mils house so it was just easier to get three cars.
Cant wait until I become Mrs K

ours cost £300 for a beauford, its taking mum n two bm's (maybe flowergirls) to the venue and then coming back for me and my dad :-) god knows how my brother is going to get there he might have to be dropped off at OH's house and go with the boys

krissy I love that car!
millz - you'll certainly be stopping traffic on the way lol! Don't think I'll be able to walk all the way to Watford from Waltham Abbey ;)
I might try the pay with cash bargaining tool to see if we can get a lower price.

I've been quoted about £300 for a limo for 3hrs hire of our choice. It works out cheaper cus normally its £120 per hour. I'm having 2 of these one for my mom and bridesmaids and my H2B is having one for him and his BM, Ushers. Then we just need to decide on what car we want, the one i fell in love with is a Bently and it will cost around £600 for the 3hrs. So I really think it depends on what type of car you have and for how long. x x

Do you think £760 (I've just checked one of the price lists I've got) for two cars, one is a Bentley Cloud or Mark VI and the second a Merc limo (7 passengers) is a reasonable price for a 3 hour hire? No booze included. xx
