I have been searching pinterest for wedding flower ideas and found some beautiful corsages for bridesmaids which I have fallen in love with...they have big flowers with long different coloured ribbons on, when I showed the pictures to my florist she said she could make them for £20 each which is amazing! I then showed the pictures to my mother and mother in law and they were mortified that I have chosen this instead of bouquets! Bouquets are lovely, the same florist makes them from £40 so the price of corsages is obv a huge selling point.
What are people's thoughts on having corsages? My mothers are "concerned" that the bridesmaids wont have anything to hold or anywhere to put their hands during photographs, but that's never an issue when you take pictures any other time. My flower girl is having a wand and I was planning on getting corsages for my mothers too.
Are corsages okay for bridesmaids?

Personally, my issue would be the photos but walking down the aisle. Would each adult be walking with a flower girl?
Maybe worth considering what they will be walking down the aisle with.
Sound lovely though.
Also would you want different corsages for the mothers?

I had ordered wrist corsages for my 3 bm's.
We discussed them having a matching handbag each to hold to, but they have decided that they do not want one.
My one b/m now has a broken wrist, so I am now thinking of going for a small posy for them each.
I need to make a decision before this Friday, as that's my final meeting with my florist.
The price of my wrist corsages were 7.50 each - for 3 small roses, some foliage and coloured ribbon, on an elasticated pearl band.
Looking forward to becoming the 3rd and last Mrs McLauchlan
