I have chosen my dress paid the deposit but would love a picture to show the family. But it is been re desinged to my taste and made for me. =( So the family are either going to have to come with me to the fittings ( how awkward) or wait till the big day. Anyone else had these problems? also My parents put down the deposit and my H2B parents found out and now they think i dont want them involved..........Help! Any idea's? Xx

I would say that they are over reacting if they think that you don't want them involved just because your own parents have put a deposit down on their daughters dress. It is tradition for the brides parents to pay for it all so I can't see why they would have their noses put out of joint over that. I would talk to them and try to get to the bottom of the problem. After all that is only one tiny part of the wedding day and there are lots of things that they can do to help along with the way if that is what they want to do. Most brides also don't show their dress to anyone before the day so no one will really expect to see it before anyway. Its always nice to have some surprises left for the day.
My mum is the only one who has seen my dress as she chose it with me :) xxx

I took photos on my phone when i tried mine on, u cud always so that then u can show whoever u like :-) I went a bit mad tho and have shown about 9 or 10 people now including all my bridesmaids lol! Keeping it to myself now, b nice to surprise most people x

LOL yeah I had piccies taken of all the dresses I tried on, and have shown my dress piccies to so many people - but h2b still has no clue, and that's the main thing ;p

The only person who has seen me in my dress so far is my daughter but I've promised my mum she can see me in it before the big day (she's seen the dress on the hanger though)
It's actually tradition for the Bride's Father to pay for the wedding dress, you could always tell your in-laws that your parents wanted to observe that tradition and ask them what they'd like to help out with xxx

No body is seeing my dress. I will have my picture in it in my bedroom drawer (martyn dont go in there he said it is like my handbag stuff goes in but dont come out) and my mum will be there for my fittings stuff.

Well ive asked her if she would like to come and view the dress because my sister in laws to be Hollie aged 11 & ruby aged 4 are been bridesmaids so we can also try find their dresses at the same time.... she can pay for thier dresses =D hope she feels included know ;D Xx

My in laws don't have much to do with my wedding planning but this is because they live in Devon and we're up in Scotland. I do try and include them into all the planning and when we're down visiting them I tend to spend hours on the internet with his mum looking at dresses and other bits and pieces. I think i may make a point of going shopping with her for her outfit as she hasn't any other family and I am like a daughter to her. You can't really do more than you already are hun. Just keep chatting to her about things relating to the wedding. xxx

I cant wait to drop the bomb about the BM dresses =D because the girls will keep & wear the dresses again so she can pay for them tbh. Also my MOH is paying for her own dress cause she will do the same. She is welcome to help pay for whatever she likes Xx

My bridesmaids are paying for their dresses and they're happy to do so. They are being made for them in a a design of their choice so I'm not forcing them to buy something they don't like. They all like my chosen colour too which is a bonus!

I showed a few people the dress I want but then I found a few other styles I liked and have got an appointment to try loads on in March. I figured that my mum and MOH who are coming with me will be the only ones to see me in my wedding dress as they are coming with me to try them on. When I find the one that is it! I will surprise everybody else
All I know is I want a white one :) xxx
