i know a couple of people who hve had it one was fine on removal but the other her skin had grown right round and was quite sore after but they did give her local anaesthetic she was told it is fine on removal for most so im sure it'll be fine but they will offer you something if it hurts xxx

I have had it in for 18 months now, i have been bleeding almost constantly so am also on the minipill so i wont bleed duuring wedding and honeymoon. I have to stop taking it after that and if im still bleeding i am getting it out but i have heard it hurts from some people others say its nothing. A girl i work with had to get sent a few miles to a specialist clinic to have it taken out.

I think if you havent piled the pounds on since having it put in you will be fine x x

yeh when i got it - i got anaesthetic and it didnt hurt at all until afterwards but ive been told that because they have to cut the muscle and skin that has formed around it that it hurts like hell!! im a big baby when it comes to needles and stuff ( i wasnt when i got it in - but since then iv had a lumbar puncture and its terrified me of all needles, i even get the shakes watching my sister takes her medicine jab)

Did you find it hurt to get out? Have had the injection, piled the pounds on! Tried the coil (hated), am not allowed the normal pill. So basically there is nothing down for me. One more baby then sterilisation. x

I had x2 5 year implants. When I had them removed there was NO pain..a bit of 'finding' them in your arm by the Doc (and to this day I STILL have 1 'matchstick' in mya rm causing NO negative effect). You need to chill yerself down as it is a piece of pee to get them ooooowt!
