Hello, Just wondered if people were making/buying confetti cones for there guests? If so do you to one each? what are people filling them with? does anyone have alternative ideas?

i think making them would be fairly easy, have a look on the net for how to videos on them. If you made the cones yourself colour coordinate them to your wedding colours
If you receive any flowers, why not dry the petals out and use these for confetti, you could also do the same with flowers your friends and family receive. It adds the sentimental value to them and cheaper than buying exactly the same thing from somewhere. And it's environmental friendly too.

I really like the idea of drying some petals GillianE.
Fluffyk04 I doubt you need one per guest as it is normally the kids and women who like to throw confetti/petals.

I've made mine using thick wrapping paper. The cones started as 15cm squares. I've planned for one per couple, with a few extra. I'm hoping it will be enough.

I've made them myself!! Will be filling them with bio degradable confetti and petals!! :-)
These are the ones I am planning on having, but with dried petals. Just need to find a small wooden apple crate from somewhere now

why doesn't your mum find out when they reduce the flowers in your local supermarket and get them, you would be amazed at how cheap you can get them for when they look worse for wear.

Im having cones and I am undecided about how many to have :) People have said I am silly for providing confetti but I would be devastated if people didnt bring any for a confetti photo x

That's my exact thoughts Rachel. I want to have a confetti shot and the only way I can guarantee this happening is to supply confetti. I never remember confetti when I go to friend's weddings, so can expect them to remember for mine.

I'm going to supply enough for a confetti shot. Not going to give everyone one, maybe 1 in 3.

It seems to be that most weddings have a supply of confetti, or the ones i have been to do. I think it is a fab idea. I went to my brothers wedding last year and so many people forgot to bring the confetti they had bought.

we're only having a small wedding so in order to get the confetti shots i'm going to make sure there is plenty of confetti on offer i may even decide on one each!

I'm drying out rose petals... Getting them from friends and family so not paying for them... Ill be making cones or pots... I would have done one fr everyone but thinking against it now after reading this.... As ur right kids won't throw it :o) Reason why I'm drying rose petals is our venue wants Eco friendly confetti and they agreed rose peals.... Might be worth checking... Plus our venue won't allow s to throw confetti outside only in... Unless we pay for clean up....
