    Hello!

Just had some questions regarding confetti for the wedding - I haven't budgeted for it yet as I thought it would be quite cheap but a lot of the packs I've found are upwards of £60.

How much confetti do you think you need per guest? I love the idea of confetti cones and wanted to make some of those - i found a pack to buy but it's £58.

Does anyone know where you can bulk buy confetti relatively cheaply?

Venue rules means it has to be biodegradable

    Thanks!

I would just tell guests to bring their own confetti then you won't need to worry about the cost... that's what we'll be doing.

We're not supplying any confetti - if the guests want to throw it, that's fine, but need to bring their own.

We're not supplying confetti. I only think its necessary if you really want a confetti photo then you have to in order to make sure you can get it (in case no one brings any)

I have always taken a couple of boxes to every wedding I've been to.

Aye I did quite fancy having a confetti photo.
I might just supply it for the wedding party and let other people bring their own?

I'm thinking of making it myself, I've spent an hour browsing the web and i haven't been able to find a decently priced multipack of biodegradable confetti. I'm thinking of using tissue paper etc to make it instead - I'm not sure how many of my friends/family get roses often! Just not sure whether it'll look okay or not :/

I think we are going to have confetti cones. Mainly because we want a confetti picture lol. I think £60 is about the price I had looked at. X

Most guests will bring their own anyway. We didn't provide any or ask people to bring it, and there were plenty of guests who had some for photos. The other thing is to cut up coloured crepe paper into small pieces to make your own.

We asked everyone to bring their own but then the best man bought a load off @mazon so the confetti shot was huge (and fun!). I will try to find out what he got. X

Ahh okay seems like most people aren't buying any, I'm not decided, I might make a few cones or might have a word and make sure some of the wedding party are bringing some!

thanks Kirsty, that'd be great - congratulations on the wedding!!
    Lala your outfits are gorgeous!!

My Sister made her own confetti cones and provided the confetti to go in them when she got married. We bought a box for my Niece. She was our flower girl and I thought it would be nice to add it to her gift along with a packet of sweets. We also asked my MIL to bring some extra just in case, but most of our guests brought their own anyway and our photographer got some great confetti photos

Our guests brought their own, we didn't even discuss it.

We bought canons for the bridesmaids as we wanted a "confetti shot photo" they were about £5 each

How long do the rose petals or flower petals take to dry out Carla please? Like that idea :-) and if its saves £60ish bonus.

I like the idea of making your own, but have in mind that tissue paper and crepe paper could leave it's dye on clothing if it gets damp in anyway!

Similar thoughts to Susan but also a lot of venues insist on biodegradable confetti only so worth checking before you start making x

the dried flower company- $hr0p$shir3 P3ta1$ do confetti by tge litre. If you make your own cones you can just buy the confetti seperately...
like others have said though, just let the guests bring their own. We're having bubble confetti so are supplying bubbles to the kids and have bought several bubble guns. :-)

We are supplying as I want a really good confetti shot and didn't want to risk people forgetting to bring any and not having enough. I got about 24 boxes on the bay for about £25
