Hi everyone, I was wondering what summer colours go with red. As my reception room has red carpets and curtains and I don't want it to clash. I was thinking of purple first as it looks lovely together but purple at the moment is everywhere (although I do like it) was also thinking of orange and yellow. Sort of sunset colours. Other than that I am lost! Xxx

Red and silver looks nice as does red and gold although I like the sound of sunset colours.

Red and gold is the first thing that springs to mind. Red and yellow would work but orange is perhaps a bit close. What about a more gentle colour to counteract the vividness (is that a word?) of the red. I could see a pale blue working well, particularly as it is a cooler colour and red is warm. Or green would go well, but it might end up looking like a Christmas theme.

I do like red and gold however, to me it seems christmassy. I'm soo fussy. Why can't the men deal with this and the stress LOL xxx

Roxanne that's what I'm worried about as my colours so far are red/ivory or white and black with a hint of gold .

RED/GOLD is for his fave American footy team and White/black they are also his fave uk footy team and they are basics really.

We had royal blue and red in July and they really worked well together (there's some pictures in my album of bm's and venue dressing).

I would have said pink/orange/yellow/green. I've seen lots of grooms on DTTB pull those colours off really well! X
