    How about...
Putting the BMs in a contrast or complementary colour to you, maybe with sash matching your dress
    Groom matches you
Best man/ ushers/ fathers whatever match bridesmaids.

I think you need to choose your dress colour first... you might end up wanting black or white!

If you had a royal blue dress for example then groom could have a matching waistcoat, have young bms in pale blue with royal sash, older bms in pale blue with royal detail and all other men in bridal party in pale blue waistcoats? Or instead of pale blue ivory? or even possibly navy

hey lalabunni...Im having a platinum coloured wedding dress (pic on my profile) you could have this also as I think silver would look really elegant with black and white scheme!Maybe your looking for something abit more stand outtish though like red or something...if so I really like Diana's idea with the different shades of the one colour. You could also put bridesmaids in white/black with the colour of your choice sash!!! I think thatll look fab...great to see some coloured wedding dresses, very beautiful!!!!xxx

    hi
my dress is dusky pink, its a vintage style wedding my two daughters and niece are wearing ivory with pink sash, h2b suit is dark grey and the button holes are pink to match the dresses. i had loads of colours in mind, thought i wanted ivory but then i found my dress and everything changes, so you need to look at your dresses first and the rest all just falls into place, good idea to ask the shop for a fabrick sample, and take it everywhere with you.

Have you thought about looking at some of the prom dresses that are about? There is a shop in Atherstone that has loads of them in all sorts of colours so the choice really is yours. I think a gold dress would look stunning. I was thinking about having mine in gold and the bridesmaids in duck egg blue. Think I'm going for the ivory now for myself but still wondering if to put the bridesmaids in gold or duck egg blue.

Yeah I agree with xJox. My dress is a Allure prom dress but in white. They come in loads of colours and you can get some beautiful ones that are a little bit more 'fun' than some plainer wedding dresses. Thats what I wanted.
If you are having the guests in black and white, a royal blue would look stunning. Or red. xxx

Wow Joey Your dress is amazing and you wouldn't think it was a prom dress. Was it any cheaper than 'wedding dresses' It certainly looks expensive.
