I'm getting married 14th July 2012, this would have been my grandparents golden wedding anniversary and wanted to include gold in my colour scheme. I'm very pale and feel "washed out" in white so I've been thinking a little "out there" along the lines of a purple or dark green dress for myself. I've found 1 in each colour within my price range (£300 or less) but both have silver emdroidery and beading not gold! I like the idea of green/silver or purple/silver theme but don't want to upset my nan or my late grandads memory. Probably getting a bit ott given I've got 2 years yet but any ideas would be lovely! rae rae x

    Why not have three colours?
You can have your coloured dress, put the BMs (if you're having them) in gold dresses and accesorise with silver.

Then put gold touches elsewhere like the invites.

    Good luck!

it can be hard to mix gold and silver as they are classically opposites.
ask your nan how she would feel about the gold, you might make her feel sad and thats something you dont want.
loving the idea of gold and green/purple as a colour schemes!

i probably wouldn't mix gold and silver in the same outfit, but i think you could get away with you accessorized in silver and the bridesmaids in gold accessories, why not bring in some other metallics as well
