We originally decided a winter wedding with the colour scheme as hunter green, however after visiting the venue we've decided winter won't work (central scotland in the winter with lots of winding roads will result in disaster!) we've now decided summer but we really cant decide on a colour scheme. What solour screams summer to you?

well we're having a spring wedding and we're having aqua blue, cerise and orange but i think the pink and orange would definitely go with a summer theme! :o)

They're both gorgeous and I really like Coral but fear its a bit close to peach. H2B likes olive green but I feel it's still quite winter-ey x

All shades of orange.
My favourite summer combo is fuchsia and turquoise!
It’s so great to find that one special person
you want to annoy for the rest of your life....
We are having a summer wedding and our main colour is turquoise so we are working colours around that such as lilac and dark purple or fuschia and dark blue so it will look how a peacocks feathers look x

We got married in August and had a royal blue scheme. We didn't want the usual red, yellow, orange etc - mostly because I just couldn't do with it being a hot day and having bees/wasps etc being attracted to the bright colours lol.

I'm getting married in may and my colour scheme is latte and chocolate brown so nout to do with the season lol. I wouldn't let the time of year dictate your colours chuck.....go with what YOU like.
My sister was a bridesmaid for someone who's theme was olive green and they got married in summer. Worked really well as they had floaty one shoulder Grecian style dresses on.

i'm having a summer wedding next year and we are having purple, ivory and silver if that helps
i think that champagne and another bright colour is summery as the gold is for the sunshine and the bright colours is like the gorgeous colours in the flowers in the summer

I know someone having a summer 2012 wedding and is going for a 'sunflower' theme with yellows, brown and ivory which looking at her plans will look lovely. We are going for a summer 2013 wedding and have a beach theme so I gues blues and champange colours.
Soon to be joined together as the Wheeler family, can't wait
Doing thing our way xxxx

I agree with MrsWard.2B. Don't let the season dictate what colours you have, there's no reason why you can't have hunter green in the summer is there?
We were planning to get married in October (we're still not sure when atm though lol) and our colour is sky blue. MIL2B was saying that sky blue is too cold for winter but I don't think it matters, it's all opinions at the end of the day, so go with what colours you want!

We're getting married in spring and we're having burgundy/maroon as I love the colour and it keeps my OH happy as it's the colour of his football team

Green would be fine in summer :) Otherwise to me summer colours are all bright; orange, yellow, blue, purple (not necessarily together lol).
If you really like hunter green why not have it along with another bright colour you both like? Then you get your colour and the other colour screams summer? Xx

We are getting married in the summer and went for green (turned into a bluey-green), pink and gold/latte. If you really like hunter green I say go for it. x

i know there are colours that scream summer but i agree with some of the others... go with the colours you like/love. plus you can always choose bm dresses that have a look of summer about them, regardless of their colour x
CommentAuthorhoneypie
Agreed with the above, have hunter green if that's what you like!
I'm getting married in the summer and having white and silver throughout...our reception is going to be in a botanical garden in a conservatory so didn't really want my colours to detract from all the gorgeous colours in the garden! :)

I'm classing our's as an Autumn wedding in the middle of September, but the way the weather is at the mo in England it may still be classed as Summer, but whatever the time of year i'm going with white, fushia & pale pink, i've never been a girly girl but as i'm getting older my favourite colour's seem to have changed & mine is definately pink x
