I already have 6 bridesmaids- 2 of those are my sisters, 2 are h2bs sisters, 1 (also the moh) is my best friend and the 6th one - I got a bit bullied into that one. No that sounds too harsh, I like her very much. It's my brother's gf and also my sisters best friend. I am from Austria and the last time I went home (few weeks ago) I asked my sisters to be my bms and asked them to pick a colour (I gave them a choice) and somehow my sister assumed I also mean my brothers gf (who was present at that time) and fully included her into the process and my brothers gf was totally enthusiastic. She is really lovely and I am a poeple pleaser so I thought what the heck, have another one. But now I feel like that another very close friend should be involved aswell. I've known her for 16 years, we've been through a lot and were super best friends for a while. She is very kind, always helpful, always there when you need her and has been through tough times herself.

Now the (very shallow) dilemma - I am all up for asking her but my 6 bms and the flower girl got all given a colour and I am out of colours! Ha ha ha. They will wear red, blue (but turquoisy), green, yellow, orange, purple and the flower girl will be pink. I can't think of another bright main colour! Only shades and the darker ones.

I now thought giving her pink and change up the flower girl because she's not as important in pics. Now here's bridezilla speaking, I do apologise :-)

But what colour for the 7-year old girl? I'm swaying between a candyfloss colour or actually red aswell because red is the major colour throughout. Navy is an option aswell. (all dresses will have white polka dots)

Suggestions? The only colour I really hate is lilac/lavender. The one bm is only wearing a (darker) purple because of lack of other colours :-)

Yes that's a good thought. My Moh doesn't necessarily have a more important role than the others, she's my witness.

Dark blue?

They are sweet samwiseheart but a tad too bridey for me. They are also getting their own dresses so a non-pricey high street dress with polka dots is the kindest option to her mums wallet.

I am quite liking the idea of same colour as the moh (or similar) because moh has picked turquoisy blue and I want h2b and my son to wear turquoise shirts and grey suits (well the lil one doesn't have to be in a suit) and my current plan is that my son walks with the flower girl or between our mothers and fg first.

Also a nice idea but white polka dots are a must :-) It's too bridey for me. I myself won't wear a typical bridal dress.

Turqouise sounds good if thats what your son is wearing :) They'll look so sweet :) Xx

I have two suggestions.

Option 1) Maybe the flower girl can have a white dress with a colour of your choice around the waist (or even better, multicoloured)? This distinguishes her as the flower girl and not a bridesmaid.

Option 2) Have the extra bridesmaid wear blue. So you will have
Red
Orange
Yellow
Green
Blue
Turquoise
Purple
Pink

what about a mustardy colour/tan with polka dots - think pretty woman styley when shes at the races. I got a dress like it and got it from Dorothy Perkins, with a 50's flare. :-)

can u not have one in bright hot pink and flower girl in a paler pink?

Would be fun but probably hard to find. But I realise more and more that I don't want her in a weddingy kind of dress (therefore white/ivory is ruled out).

dont no if it would be any good to you but i was on very earlier and there is a few for your flower girl a navy dress with white polka dots and yellow belt, a white one with multicoured polkas are hearts, red dress with black polka dots and a few more from 0-7yrs in size, they are very cute xx

The last ones are what I have in mind. I'll ask her mum if she maybe already has a dress like that.

I think one of the bms is getting hers from Vivian of Holloway. Luckily dresses like that are all over the place and even cheaper than Vivian of Holloway. But of course they are lovely.

I do love the dusty rose shade - one of my favs at the moment.

I actually haven't thought about this again and never told the mum of fg not to get a pink dress - erm my bad. Need to talk to her. Reading all this back I think I'd like her the most in a navy dress with white polka dots.
