I've brought black for me and my bridesmaid... Reason being its a winter wedding and I have no idea what the weather will be doing.
My mum likes the idea and when we all had our dresses on in the shop they did look good.
H2B isn't keen on the idea.... Neither is MIL2B. I've shown h2b as ill have to wear them through out the year so my feet get used to wearing them as I don't generally wear heels as I've got a bad knee.
What do u think?

I have a winter wedding and I have cobolt blue sparkly shoes for the ceremony and ivory shoes with red glitter soles for the reception. My bridesmaids all have red shoes, the flower girl has ivory ballet slippers and the paigeboys both have red toms ;-) Men are all having black shoes

I think I shall go for silver sparkly shoes maybe peep toe n platform but I need to go for a sensible inch so It is comfortable for me but I am tempted to go for Emerald shoes or lovely green sparkly shoes dark or light Think H2B wants blue shoes =D <3 X

i was going to get black because I was more likely to wear them again however my hubby surprised me with mine and said he didnt get them in black even though I would use them again as he felt they should be the traditional colour of ivory but it is your choice.

I'm going for purple shoes to tie in with our colour scheme. I also wanted something bright and colourful because my dress is knee-length. At the end of the day, you're the one wearing the shoes so it's up to you what style/colour etc!

I want sparkly silver shoes! But flat ones, with a strap, and I can't find any I like :( I found a perfect pair in the childrens department in Clarks, but they only went up to 2 1/2 (I'm 3 1/2).
I've now threatened to wear green snuggle socks all day instead! My arguement being that they'll be comfy, and they'll be covered by the dress anyway. Then my sister (a bridesmaid) decided she wanted to as well, but the bridesmaids are having knee length dresses, so I've had to say no to her!
The hunt for silver sparkly shoes will continue...

am having ivory wedding heel shoes with a bow at the side of the shoes and my bridesmaid is having red bridesmaid shoes,it's your wedding hun so have what u want you are the bride it's down to u ps winter wedding tends to have a darker colour as to summer wedding wich is more bold and bright.

I haven't decided whether to have blue shoes or have some ivory one's painted ( £175 to have them painted so a little expensive unless I can do them myself) But whatever I have will be unique and my choice H2B keeps tellign me its my day and as long as we can afford it he's happy

Ruth, how long is your dress? How much of your shoes Are people going to see? If its a full length dress you won't even see then that much! I'd just wear what you feel happy in and if it looks good go for it. I'm just wearing some nude peep toes! Very ordinary, but then I'm not a huge show person. x

My dress is long... and black will be a part of the day our colours are black white and pink. my dress is ivory though. I will be comfortable in them and are not too high. ill see if i can post pic to my wall not sure how to do it though.

Mine are Ivory but I've got a serious hankering after handpainted... my dress is a tea-length, so you'd see them but it has a lace overlay and I was worried that handpainted may be a little over the top. decisions eh

Sarahh I LOVE those shoes! My bridesmaids have nice light pink blingy shoes to go with their dresses, I'm going to possibly get pink ones for myself, I want some blingy ones, but can't really find any that are my "perfect shoes". Hmmm.
But I think you should definetly just wear what you're going to be comfortable in and what you like!

Ruth I love those shoes! I was going to get them in a blush pink but they didn't have my size :( and if black is part of your colour scheme too then I think they will be fine, and as you said you can wear them again!
I haven't decided on my actual shoes yet but both are ivory, one has sequins on them and the other has a lace overlay (my mum bought them for me for xmas), but I will probably go with the lacey ones as I love lace! xxx

Thanks Jessica, I got them off the Bay. I looked everywhere for irregular choice ones and couldn't find ones I liked in the shops so I got these second hand at a bargain price :)

I want a pair of irregular choice shoes too, but most of them dont have a platform which I really want (and need because I am a foot shorter than OH) but I'm still looking for bright shoes, preferably greenish or floral!
