we know who's invited to cyprus, so don't need to worry about that, but for our party back home, h2b's friends will outnumber my lot by about 5:1!!!

i don't work and not at uni anymore, so i've only really got my MOH and BM that i would call friends. i've got people i chat to on fb, but i don't class them as friends.

h2b said to invite people from school, but MOH and BM are the only ones i really keep in contact with (other than fb), plus most of my year are in london or australia.

h2b will be inviting all his childhood friends, people we worked with, his family, people he used to work with and current workmates.

i really don't want to invite people just to make up numbers. i don't want to invite people i haven't seen for years. i think that's a bit weird, if i'm honest!!

i'm going to look like a total loner and h2b will look like mr popularity

im in nearly the same boat lol. i only keep in touvh with a few people from uni and college as me and my h2b are always with his friends and their partners. so the list looks like its all my partners friends lmao.
i was looking through my fb friend list to see if there was anyone that i had missed off and there were quite a lot that i talk to online, however i dont see them anymore or even if i do its like a passing hello. i decided that i wasnt going to put them on my list as i didnt see the point in making up numbers with people i dont really see.

    xx

Our wedding's like that. H2b has loads of friends he wants to invite - from school, Uni, old job and new job. Whereas I don't have loads of friends lol I only have a small group of friends but we're all really close and have been friends since school! I have quite a big family though, and get on with h2b's friends so it's okay. I'm not going to invite people I don't want there just to make up numbers xx

But you've known him for years I gather - if your eldest is 10? So a lot of friends are mutual friends anyway?

are all the people that h2b inviting friends in the sense that he sees them often, speaks to them regularly and sends birthday/christmas cards/gifts with. By the way you put it the people you are unsure about inviting from your side are the same type of people he's inviting.
It might be worth sitting down with him and cutting down the guest list to be true friends and family.

It was similar for us. I have 23 people on my guest list, and Dan's was over 100. We can only have 70, so I refused to budge and made him cut his list down. So now it's a little more equal. I'm friends with most of his friends anyway, and they know that I keep a very select circle of my own friends.

I could of written this. I was saying the church will look completely lop sided with many empty seats on my side but like others i'm not going to invite people I have lost contact with since having my children. xx

i get on with all his friends, but i would still class them as his friends. if we were having a traditional wedding, they would side on his side of the church. when i had my daughter at 18, i lost contact with a lot of my friends as i didn't go out.

we've been together since she was 3 and i'm really close to some of his pals and their partners. a lot of the people i speak to, i met though him, so it kinda looks like i didn't have a life until i met him lol

i've just had a horrible thought. if me and h2b were ever to break up, i'd be left with 2 friends of my own lol
