Heard about the fire a few days ago and read yesterday that a couple due to marry there today were desperately searching for a new venue. I hope they found somewhere.
This has affected more couples who have their weddings booked there.
Made me wonder what I'd have done if our reception venue had a fire 2 days before our wedding and we needed to find somewhere else at short notice. What would you do?
Also makes a good case for getting wedding insurance.

It is very sad. There is a lady who fought off cancer so deserved a dream come true for her wedding but this has happened and I really feel for her.
But there ais news of other venues helping couples out.

I read that about the lady who fought cancer too. Terribly sad. Really hope she and everyone else having weddings there find another venue for their special days.

I've been following this story. It's heatbreaking. I hate to see old buildings suffer like that and then the couples, owners and staff too. Ugh.

Clandon Park is one of my local national trust places, it's so heartbreaking. I can't imagine how worried some of the brides with weddings booked there are feeling, on top of the loss of such an iconic building for the area :(

It's very sad, not just for the people who had their weddings booked there but for the years and years of history just lost like that. It's literally just a shell of a building now, and it was so so beautiful.

We live nearby and my partner used to visit it when she was younger so she was quite upset. Feel awful for the staff, irreplaceable relics and wedding couples x

When it happened here in the iow, the other venues around were brilliant and helped the people out who had booked there so they could still have their wedding,
