I want a cinderella (or disney princess) / pride and prejudice theme wedding but i am struggling now to come up with ideas!! I have pale blue ansparkles for my colours (along with black and white) but im stuck now!! i cant think how i want my tables named or anything else i know i wanted fairy lights all over but cant afford it :( am on a really tight budget too!! X The suits i wanted evening tails (p&p) and my dress very disney but the bm dresses arent as 2 were given and 2 are one shoulder!! Im just out of ideas now i did have it all but didnt write it down (silly me!!) so any help would be appreciated xx

For table names, you could use the names from these films like for Cinderella you could have ugly sisters etc or you could use names of items of things like pumpkin, mice etc!

Sparkles on the tables. You could have ivy entwined with fairy lights to make it look like an enchanted night - really romantic?
Alfred Angelo makes Disney-themed bridal & BM dresses. Would the person you gave you the dresses be happy for you to sell them and put the money towards Disney style BM dresses? Evening tails sounds really romantic. Watch lots of Disney films - make notes on what u like and do the same with Pride and Prejudice then start researching what you want to put into your wedding and how to go about it?

I think Cinderella and Pride and Prejudice clash quite a bit. That doesn't mean it doesn't work but what elements of each are important to you?

i wanted the big cinderella style dress (which obviously doesnt fit with p&p) and the evening tails and dancing and other bits from pride and prejudice plus the music! I also adore disney i never grew up so i want that music too.This is the problem i was having, tying it all together! xxx

yeah i kinda see your point LMB - cinderella is big princessy dresses and p&p would be more simple and empire line... i guess if you're going rally princessy you could have the pumpkin for the carriage and stuff! or little "glass" slippers as decorations, and the ivy and fairy lights would def be perfect. it'd probably be a bit more formal for p&p type stuff?

was thinking Classical music (p&p) for the ceremony and my big princessy dress (wanna change mine although it might do for evening still want a bigger one) and disney music for the evening i like the idea of do i love you because you're wonderful from cinderella (one with whitney houston and brandy) or the first dance i did want a viennese waltz but we can't even waltz lol xx still will post my ideas when i get any more xx

I think they clash the most in styling - Cinderella is all blingy and glitzy with tbe typical Disney elements (pumpkin etc.) whereas P&P is equally oppulent but elegant. Silver candelabras, possibly dark book centerpieces, dark wood antiques and pastel coloured flowers with lots of green mixed in. That' how I would envision it.
But I think the music could tie it together because after all Cinderella is much much older than P&P and the Grimm version is "only" 200 years older than P&P (I think) - so classical music coming from a harpischord is not lost on Cinderella :-))

I agree with littlemissbossy.... pride and prejudice and cinderalla are completely different. I have gone for a P and P theme and have gone for white flowers everywhere, old style venue, SQ etc, BM's dresses with lace up back etc and am having my hair half up and half down. I know my dress doesnt quite fit haha but never mind. Have a look in my profile see if you see any ideas? Not all of it is P n P but there are defo strong elements in there e.g. the cake and the suits. I am still working on this myself to be honest as I am not 100% sure I have enough

My theme is Disney princess, table names are Cinderella, Beauty & the Beast, The Little Mermaid, Sleeping Beauty, Pocahontas, Mulan, Aladdin (for Jasmine princess) and Snow White, centerpieces are Porcelain Princess figurines with around table other figurines from the respective movies, and mini figurines around the cake my dress is similar to Belle's so my hair and make up will be like her too I will also scater fairytale confettis on table and my favours are chocolate dragees in clear cinderella slippers. lysblanc love your cake it fab!!! I found a cake topper that i love on a website for about £10 or just over so might get that and just have the music from p&p but will have a nosey through suzkys pictures too might get better ideas xx we have some tealight holders that can be a bit vintagey (look a bit like a mini gas light i think one of the candle ones) so gona maybe see about something around that etc x thanks ladies keep ideas coming please lol xxx
