It depends on the church/denomination. Check out the church of England website, i think their charges are on there.
Hubby and I got married in a Catholic Church so our charges were very loe, £150 for the church, £80 for the organist and £50 for the registrar to do the legal bit. Then £150 for flowers.

We've budgeted £500 for all our church costs as fees go up again in January. I've heard if some girls paying up to £700 but as IDL has said it just depends, which is a complete ball ache...
We're getting married in a CofE church...
Basic fees are £385 for service and a further £21 for the banns, if u need banns reading in another church that is £34. Choir, verger, organist, bell ringers are extra costs but not set so would be up to the church itself x
Fees are going up again in 2014 to £396 for service x

Ours is costing £680. That's for everything, including organist, choir, bells and banns being read in the church and our parish church (where we are not getting married). The fees will be going up slightly in January but hopefully won't be too much more!

Including bells afterwards which cost extra, my sisters has come to £745 for everything, but I guess it does vary church to church, I think some thing can reduce if there's weddings the same day and you could share flowers etc x

CofE is £285 standard fee then it's down to the individual church as to what they charge. On top of that there will be organist, bells and choir fees depending on the church too. Generally you will have to pay for an organist but the rest is normally optional. If we manage to get a blessing, we'll probably get all the fees waived because my Dad's the ringing master, the organist is my mother and I'm in the choir so we should get the majority off!! :D xx

we have been told ours is about £530 including bells and organ. we are not having a choir. look on the yourchurchwedding website they have the standard fees on there but obviously that doesnt include bells organ choir etc which is at the churches discretion. and we have had to pay for our banns on top as we are both getting married outside the parish it is an extra £34 each on top of that x

Our church cost us £800 all together but they were a tad sneaky and didnt tell us the costs until we had put the deposit downx

if you are getting married next year prices have gone up its £417 for the legal bit and then there is the banns £33 and then there is usually a 'donation' to the church ours is £50 which is kind of expected. Then its the extras such as organist, heating in some places, the permission for photograpy again some places etc.
we are spending 664 in total and that is just for the chruch fees, organist and donation as i dont need my banns to be read in another parish. If its a COFE chruch then there is a website which is really helpful and gives you all the legal costings

Nearly £1,000 for all of ours as we are having bells, organist and choir! We will also have to have our banns read out at our local church. If we wanted to have the ceremony videoed we would have to pay extra for the organist. Legal reasons I believe.
Flowers are included and making own pew end decorations.

this might sound like a daft question but does anyone know if you have to pay a registrar to come out when you get married in church I've never been to a church wedding before and I'm having one but don't know anything about how all the legal stuff works xx

Normally the priest will be able to do and a registrar is not needed but you will need to check with them as some churches are different so when you go and have a meeting with the church, ask xx
