I met up with the local churches lady who deals with the flowers. The problem I have is that my main colour is blue....and as it is a recessive colour, in an arrangement the blue gets lost. I now do not know what to do about colours.
At our reception I am planning to have blue lanterns hanging and blue decorations on the tables, I just think it will look a bit silly bringing in more colours.....I dont know what to do. If I use other colours in the church the reception then wont match the colours at the church, and supposedly there should be some linking themes in both.
My dad suggested a dark red.....but I dont want the church to look like its been decorated for the queens jubilee/union jack.
I didnt know if anyone had had the same problem??? If so did you overcome it???
Thank you

what about a purple/lilac/violet .... all of which have blue hues
Why don't you have difficult colours at the church then have all your blues at the reception? The other option is to do all neutrals at the church with ivorys/whites/greenery etc? xx

I g a quick look on google searched 'blue flower wedding arragements' and the go to colour to accompany blue seems to be while/ivory. Which boost the blue and gives a fuller look. My theme is tardis blue (royal) but having dresses placesettibg etc in blue but flowers in ivory as blue next to blue can look a bit much.

My colours are navy, ivory and splashes bright orange... The orange and ivory will be in the arrangements and the bouquets and centrepieces are plain orange roses... XxxX
I'm having blue, and I think I'll have a mix of blue and white, and maybe some greenery.
30th August 2014 was the best birthday ever.
It was the day that I became Mrs. Dixon.

Thanks guys. Went to see my florist today and he suggested no blues in the church, just creams, greens and a little pink, then I will have blues, greens and pink, with bridesmaids with creams and greens since there dresses are blue. My venue will carry all the blues. Thanks for all your suggestions, I feel a lot better about it all now.
