Well its half decided, as long as the Vicar agrees to our new date! The OH was just about to send this out to the family, but I am not too sure if it sounds OK.................?
To Our Family,
I am sending this out on behalf of Stace, Dills & Myself. Thought that we would update you on our wedding situation. We dont need to remind you all that every time we have planned to get married, someone (say no names) or something has come to throw a great big spanner in the works.
This past weekend has been an emotional roller coaster for us both, filled with tears and upset that we both didnt expect to be going through right now.
It would seem that the whole world has hit wedding mania this year all thanks to the Royal's and we have lost count of the amount of weddings that we are expected to be attending this year. I said to Stace yesterday, that I havent been to one wedding and now I have a life times worth in one year.
We were planning on going ahead with our blessing date in Feb 2012, but to be honest the pressure has been too much for both of us to take at this time, especially when you consider the family events we have got in the next 12 months:
5th May Hospital 12th May Hospital 18th May Lucy & Pete's wedding 4th June Melanie & Keith's wedding 5th June Max's Christening June Dills school trip 18th June Lucy & Pete's Reception 2nd July Dills Confirmation & 1st Holy Communion July George's birthday party 6th Aug Cam & Steve's Wedding 20th Aug Caroline & Terry's wedding Sept Dills starts secondary school 1st Oct Eileen & Tony's renewal 2012 Jan Laurence's 21st April Nan's 80th
Throw into that another 2 weddings at the end of the year as well as Hen & Stag parties and the usual events it is a very busy year. We still dont know the full outcome of Stace and hospital so that is a big factor at the mo. We know that Lauren & Barry are actively trying for another baby and all being well, we hope to have a new niece/nephew here before April next year. Also Jade has very important Uni exams next Feb.
We havent decided for sure yet but wanted to ask your opinions and your support. We havent even told the Vicar or asked her if it is possible, we are assuming that she will agree to a date after Christmas. Having considered all the above we are thinking of moving the date to a date around 28, 29 or 30th December 2012. This way we get to chill, relax and enjoy all of the happy family events above without our head being somewhere else or stressing about our own issues. We thought that by April next year, things would have calmed down and it will give us a good 9 months to plan our special day and as a family we all have something to look forward too.
What do you think?
