We had our first viewing today at an old priory and it was absolutely stunning!!
The wedding coordinator is fantastic and there are no packages and they can organise anything that we want, and being charity run means they're not extortionate and not for profit!!!
It's the first one we've seen and we've decided not to see anymore. It all feels soooo real now!! Xx

We've had our date pencilled in, we've told the coordinator what we want and she's going to get a quote together and email me an itemised quote and then we can tweak and change it, then pay a deposit once were happy :) xx

Great news! Just be sure it's right for you... we kept seeing venues that were gorgeous and more and more gorgeous... our venue chosen is not "gorgeous" though! it's nice... but it was free and its being renovated and has great prices... and our decorating and the like will make it gorgeous to us and hopefully the guests... at a fraction of the cost! Make sure you don't get swept off your feet... and ripped off! Barter hard for it!
And we lived happily ever after!

Oh, we certainly won't be ripped off! It's a a priory run by catholic monks and they only have a certain number of weddings a year because of there national lottery funding.
It's not advertised anywhere because its a charity, the venue hire fee is £850 for the day for exclusive use, bar, tables, chairs, coordinator, for them to dress the 17th century barn. And all we have to pay for on top is our hog roast and a couple of other bits we want.
We stumbled across it by accident,so feel like fate has brought it to us :)
We looked at other barns that were similar in our area and they wanted a £3000 hire fee before any catering or staff were included xx

Excellent you found the one on first round lol -it sounds lovely. We only looked at 3 in the end, most other venues around our area were too large for our numbers. My friend looked at something like 15 before finding hers!
