Make a list of what you want from the your venue, and grade each one on the criteria.

Luckily for me, I knew straight away where I wanted my reception and we got it too.
I went for the wow factor and space. Quality of food and drinks prices were also a reason we chose ours.
    Good Luck xx

We saw about 10 venues, and looked at a couple more on the internet. So, go and luck on internet then narrow it down to the places you want to go and see in person. Our decision was based on gut feeling (as we walked in the venue that we actually booked the first time we both had a really good feeling), price and location as well as the food as we both worked in hospitality and good food is vital to a good party :) x x

Think about whats most important to you. Location is very important, not ideal if guests cant get there.

I dread to think how many venues we have visited. Off the top of my head I know its over 50 but we have been planning for quite a while. The funny thing is the venue we have now is the first venue we ever saw. We just didnt think we could afford it, but after a lot of problems with venues and family giving their opinions on someof our choices, h2b went and booked our venue as a surprise. My only advice is make sure you feel 100% happy with a venue before handing over a deposit. Make sure you read all terms and conditions too, some vnues have crazy rules and regulations. If theres anything thats niggling you about the venue.....either see if the venue can change what you dont like or keep looking for another venue. xx
