      Getting married in 6 months
      Posted: May 31st 2019
Hey, so I am getting married next August. We have booked the church and venue, my dress is nearly settled and I'm starting on planning my cake, table arrangements, etc. The thing I'm having an issue with is choosing a photographer! I don't know where to start! Can anyone shed any light on how they found their photographer, how much they are charging for their service, etc. I'm really lost where to start!

Hi, I think the best way of starting is to visit a number of bridal shows, you can compare one against the other under the same roof and perhaps make a shortlist.
Looking around at photographers you can see differences, some haven't a clue whilst others are simply stunning!
Unfortunately that might mean paying a little more but at the end of the day you have only the one wedding day so if it's within budget, go for it. : )

We have settled on a local photographer, whose work is in our view so much better.
I don't know where your location is, but he is based in Kent, and travels widely.

    The website is, Maybe compare!

I am a Swedish wedding photographer living in London, happy to travel. I am now accepting bookings for 2020! Since I am new in the UK, I am happy to offer a competitive price for my first clients here :) Please have a look at my website for now and email me on [email protected] if you are interested to speak further.

I went to a wedding fair. I don't trust websites where they are basically selling themselves, i wanted to meet my potential photographer in person first. Ironically i never got to meet him at the fair as he was chatting to someone else but i watched him talk and he just had such a nice aura about him. I took home his brochure and messaged him a few days later and we agreed to met at his studio and he was just such a nice and down to earth guy, he showed us his work in the form of wedding albums and wanted to know more about the ceremony times etc and the conversation flowed wonderfully! We ended up booking him a week later and his price was £880 which included a huge signature frame that all our guests will sign on the day and then given to us with a picture from the day itself front and centre. All day coverage from 9am until 9pm, a pre wedding shoot and all photos from the wedding AND pre shoot on USB. We also paid a tiny bit extra to receive a guest book, made whilst we are having our meal, featuring wedding pictures he has taken and it is properly printed and bound. So I cannot wait! Hes such a fantastic and talented photographer. We have saw the proofs from our pre wedding shoot and they are so magical, i never thought i could ever exist in a beautiful photo, but there i am! lol
