I'm thinking of having one if the price is right. If you type in fountain hire in bay of e, it brings quite a few up and I have seen them starting from £150

Hi girls.. can anyone that is having a fountain post who they are using on there wall please. You've all seemed to of got alot better prices than I have lol..

Also, I'm not worried about potential mess. The fountains are manned and kept tidy and I only have 8 kids at my whole day and evening so they can't cause that much mess, there parents are very prim and proper too and the slight bit of food on them is cleaned off within seconds lol. I will be very careful having some myself, so that I don't get it down me but hey ho, if I get it on my dress I will laugh it off and cover everyone else in it so I don't look the odd one out :-D

thought about it, but i can't comprehend the damage spilled or splashed chocolate could do to my dress - everyone would make a mess, and they are not very hygenic for double dippers.

    i wouldn't have one.

Ahh, thankyou so much, Mrs-Walker-2Be, it's so nice to hear as my sister and one of my best friends (now ex friend-long story) Both informed me that they really don't like it!!! So i was starting to feel a bit unsure. Well i figure that with 5 children of my own and lots of others that will be there my dress has no chance of staying clean, but the chocolate fountain people will supply an extra large bib for the bride. . . classy hey? That is exactly what they said to me, my sister said, 'you haven't really got the figure for it' , and my friend said, 'it's a bit tight across the a**e' Makes me think if it is the right dress. I've been doing slimming world, so in june last year i would never have gone for it as i was a size 20/22, but when i went back and thought i'd try it on i got into a 14, and it needs taking in, but maybe it is a dress for a size 8-10, but i don't care i like it, and now, so do you. . .lol. Thankyou. By the way i love the sound of your Vicar.Xx

I can't wait to try it on in my actual size, the one I have on in the pic was just the shops one and it was a size 12 and apparantly I need a size 26!! When I'm normally a size 18-20 :-( It is gorgeous though, I love the detail and the veil matches the dress, has the same detail on it :-D

No chance for double dipping as they are always there and you get to keep any dips or chocolate left (no chance LOL) Link is on my wall

There are a couple of things that put me off about them. One is that a lot of them add oil to the chocolate to make it runny and I don't like the idea of eating all that sat fat. The other is sticky fingers on my dress and then there is the finger dipping and licking.

We have been quoted from the company i think we are going with:
    £420 for 200 people
    Including
choice of 8 dips from menu of 18
    napkins and skewers
    special bride and groom skewers
steady flow of chocolate and dip top up
2 members of staff / waiting staff
CD of photos taken of guests using the fountain
    4 hours useage time
set up and dismantle not included in hire time

Works out as £2.10 per person so we dont think thats too bad
