I know there's been a few discussions about this but I didn't know if anyone had any ideas for things for the kids to do during the 'photo' time. I'm not worried about the ceremony as its only half an hour and I'm planning to do a goody bag with activity books and bubbles etc for the table but I know photo time can be pretty boring for guests and I don't want the kids to get restless. I've looked into making one of the areas a soft play area or hiring in a ball pit, but the other area we have is made of glass doors and I can't see the venue allowing it. Does anyone else have any other ideas?

How about a kids entertainer? An hour of games/party dances/magic etc?

im not doing anything as we only have 5 children at our wedding and they all get on really well together so im sure they will all be running round playing with each other. if you really want to do something maybe you could get some garden games maybe even some of the adults would join in aswel? like jiant jenga and giant connect four ect there are loads of diffrent ones x

Have a baloon guy or something for an hour or so or a magician? Thats what I was thinking for the evening
So lucky to be marrying my soulmate on 18/07/20

I would just take a whole load of board games like susan suggests. I think that sounds fun and parents etc could help out. x
Yeah I love the sound of the giant jenga/connect 4, we've already got a giant snakes and ladders. Great idea susan1990, thanks! A balloon guy is also a great idea, thanks girls!

I was thinking of making an activity book (ripped the idea from someone on here I believe!) for the kids to do at the wedding with some crayons and stuff for colouring in.
There isn't going to be a huge amount of kids at my wedding - not enough to warrant paying hundreds of pounds for entertainment. Most people are leaving their children with sitters or they're so tiny that they will just run around skidding on the dancefloor anyway!

Thanks for the great ideas!! I am only just starting my planning and there are so many things to think about! There will be kids at mine, not too many but to be honest as KathleenJ has said, I'm not too bothered about the little 'uns cus they will just entertain themselves(!!) but its the 9-13 years olds who will get bored sitting around...
Giant Jenga sounds amazing! Twister!

haha giant jenga and twister wouldn't just be childrens' entertainment imo! I, as an "adult" would LOVE that at a wedding haha xx

Are you having a disco? If so you could ask the DJ to do some kids music and games. We're doing this for our's and their playing pass the parcel, musicial statues, bumps and some other party games and the DJ is doing it as an extra for us xx

during phototime we've got a caricaturist going round the guests. due to the time available and the amount of guests though I don't think he'll get everyone done which is a shame. Our driver for the car is a fantastic chap. It's his company and to be fair it's his life. He loves kids and he's got his own box of magic tricks he's bringing to keep kids entertained lol 2 for the price of one lol x
