Just wondering what evryone else with young children are doing on the day? I've got 3 children which will be 10,3 and 18 months at the time. The plan at the moment is for my father to watch them in the day and my in-laws will take them home around 8.00 but feel bad that they will miss out on their sons wedding. I have offered to pay for them to stay at the hotel but they said they dont want to stay at the hotel when everyone will be down stairs having a good time and the music playing. Is there anything else i could do.

If they stayed at the hotel, then could they talk take it in turns to watch them, so that they don't miss the whole thing? Eg MIL could watch them from 8-9.30, and then FIL from 9.30-11. Or, could you hire a baby-sitter/child-minder to watch them (again in the hotel)?

my mum will be the main watcher of my daughter during the day with help from others, then we have a fair few kids there 10 under 5 and 10 under 12 so am hoping to organise the kids into the two quietest rooms with different parents taking turns keeping an eye on them!

We're having our sons regular sitter to look after him (he'll be nearly 4) and she'll take him home between 7-8pm and put him to bed then if my other 2 (who'll be 12 & 14) want to go home to bed there'll be someone there for them and I'm sure my brother or dad will be more than happy to just walk them home
