    Sil2b is my chief bridesmaid.
She doesnt seem interested in helping me out.
I've asked her several times about helping me with things... she doesnt follow up.
7 months and she hasnt offered any suggestions towards anything.
I've asked my mil2b to help her - that failed.
I've spoken to my h2b about it but he doesnt have the best relationship with her. - she will take anything he says the wrong way.

Not sure what to do as i have no one else - i dont want to cause a family feud and i want things to work out with everyone still happy.

    Thankyou

Give her a list, in writing, with some indication of when you want things doing by.

I know from my own planning its easy to say 'oh yeah, I'll look at so and so' and then it just goes to the back of your mind. If she's never been married, she'll have no idea of what it entails.

I'm not a big fan of demoting or sacking bms, unless they've been majorly out of order as it seems to cause more trouble than it's worth.

It may also be that the wedding seems a long way off to her, she probably has the best intentions but doesn't realise that things need to be getting put into place now.

What would you like her to do?

    Xx

Haha LauraJo the glare from the lights in my office made me read your post as 'Unless they've been naughty' haha !! Made me chuckle :-)

I'm not relying in my moh for any of what you're wanting.. Only thing she will be doing is going to choose her dress.. Other than that its 90% me and my mum and H2B are helping along the way..
All you can do is be honest and tell her what you wanted/expected from her being chief bridesmaid Xxx

If its only her interest and opinions that you want the talk to her about your ideas, from her response you should get what you want. X

She's okay most of the time, mainly talks about herself mind.

I know i'm a lot more mature then she is even though we're the same age.

I've spoken to my sister about it all.
I'm thinking about not demoting my sil2b but just not asking anything of her.
My sister is more then willing to step in and help me with the hen do and opinions on stuff.

Does everyone think that's the best to keep everyone happy? xx

Yeah, I think that's probably the best course, I don't think she's (from the sound of it) done anything so bad as to merit sacking, just been a bit pants...you never know, she might get better as the planning progresses xx
