Just wondered if anyone knows of anyone reasonable but nice places around the colchester, essex area. Ideally we want to have the ceremony and reception at the same venue. We have around £3000 to spend on the venue. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Try the hotel chains they do good offers, I'm going for ram*** ***vis and for 50 people it comes in at just over £3k with drinks package and 3 course meal

try the best western hotels too, thats who we're going with and we got a fantastic package for £2999. That wasn't the cheapest either but it suited us xxx

I posted a link on your wall to a site that lists cheap venues in Essex. The site helped me find the venue we're going to have our wedding at so it might be helpful for you too.
I know it says for receptions but you might find one on there that does ceremonies as well, like I did :)
The barn or woodhall manor i think its called are lovely...............will try to find links for you so if you except my friend request i'll leave on your wall when i have!!

yes holiday inn hun the deal at the moment is £1999 for 40 day guests 70 nite guests, overnite stay nite bfore and nite of, dj, cake n knife stand and organiser on the day, buckz fizz arrival drink 1 glass wine per guest wiv meal and sparkling wine for toast! its £27 per extra person day time and £11 nite! bargain

My BIL2B got married at Forrester Park in Great Totham - the food was very nice. Not sure how much it cost, but I know they were looking for a reasonably priced venue.
I also heard Ye Olde Plough House is reasonable, but may be too far from Colchester for you.
