I've sorted out my Day Venue where we will have a meal etc. though I am now just looking for an evening venue, preferably where I can self cater and provide my own DJ etc. as I'm finding most venues over charge when they supply these and I have found cheaper alternatives through friends.
So overall I need to find a venue that I can just rent. Like a bar, a club, Town Hall, Golf Club? Please suggest.
I was going to rent The City (2nd floor) but they will be refurbishing in March, unfortunately that is when my Wedding is :-(.x

Can't your day venue become your evening venue? Can't you talk to them and ask if you can stay on after the meal and hire your own DJ and have your own buffet? I would talk to them because switching venues after the meal has its problems like how do the ones who have had a drink get to the second venue? If you are expecting all your guests to get to the second venue themselves or will you have to put on a bus? You never said how many guests you were having. I had a wee look online and saw that Aberdeen football club has small, medium and large conference rooms. No idea what price though.

Where about in aberdeen is your day venue? Is it right in the city? Ssometimes the beach ballroom can do Good deals but it really big. It reaally depends how many peoplke you are having as some of the pubs at top of union street towards castlegate have occasion rooms you can hire. Somethings telling me the lemon tree aswell but not 100 percent sure on that x

Beach ballroom starts at 395 for room hire and stovies for 100 people, sportsmans on queens road could be an option?or a community hall?Where is your day venue?x

What area of Aberdeen hun? And how many guests? My wedding was going to be in Aberdeen as that is where I grew up but we are having it now in Newcastle where me and OH met. I was going to have Blairs Church near Mary culter and then the Cults Hotel.

My Day Reception is in The Double Tree Hilton, near the City Center of Aberdeen.
I have considered having my Evening Reception where I'm having my day one, but they said I was not allowed outside catering due to Health and Safety.....so would have to pay them over a grand for the room hire and the food (Stovies? :-/..).
Not really worth the price :-S.
I have just over 30 guests during the day, probably have about 50 at night and hope for the Evening venue to not be too far away.
Lol Crawf, I was going to get Married in Newcastle because that's where I'm from but changed it to Aberdeen due to it being easier.
