I have been booked for a wedding at Chatsworth House, and been to recce it today. Anyone else been there? Its a stunning venue. I would highly recommend it. Even grander than my last big job, which was Hazelwood Castle near leeds. In fact I would put it on a par with Barony Castle near Edinburgh. Who is planning a grand wedding? Andy. xx

I wanted my wedding in the Painted Hall at the Old Royal Naval College in Greenwich, its absolutely amazing and was my dream venue, but they wanted £7500 just for hire. Cheap and cheerful for me I'm afraid! lol

£7500! That is very steep. I know the place and you are right, it is a stunning venue, but thats too much money all the same. Have you got other options?
Becky, Woodhall is another nice location. I also did one last year just a bit further north, called Crab Manor.
