We are thinking of having a characaturist at our wedding.
We found one when we went to a wedding fair at our venue. He will be there for the entire day, and i think it would be nice if we had a drawing of us during the actual ceremony! He said that most guests will go home with a picture, which sounds good.

Yes yes yes!! The pictures will make a keepsake for your guests from the day and they are great talking point! We are having one for our wedding... cant praise them enough, as long as they are good caricaturist you cant go wrong!

We were umming about having one or a magician, we ended up with going for a Magician, the only reason is the guy we are having does all the Blue chip companies do's etc and has fab write ups. Characaturists are amazing though, wish I had the cash for both!!xx

to be absolutely honest i have seen better than that hun, we are having one come to ours, he is brilliant but he only comes for 3 hours. Its only costs me £150 though so i suppose its about choosing what you would rather have him do we are just having him in between the day and night do x

We are doing this.
We had an idea of not giving out the drawings to guests (as we want copies) and sending them out afterwards.
We were also going to do a 'guess who' game. Choose 10 of the pictures to display and ask people to write on their form who they are and what their relationship is to me and h2b (e.g. Aunt, friend etc) and the winners get a bottle of champers in the evening. Thought it would make people talk to each other and would be an extra bit of entertainment in the lul between the day and evening do. Anyone think this is a naff idea?

Yeah we too are having one and paying £200ish and i think we get 4 hours booked it ages ago so can't quite remember full details. We booked him through a company and we have also booked a statueman

I really love the idea of a characaturist! I think it'd be a nice treat for everyone to go home with something, it's quite unsual too, not necessarily something people would buy for themselves but something they'll enjoy to look at! = D Great idea! x

we are having one and he is a teacher of it and is 250 for 2 hours so a bit of a rip off but cheaper than most we saw in the north west. Pic in profile under entertainment tho his wont be in colour as they take longer... he will so colour but would see fewer guests
