    Hello Everyone

    I would like some advice,

I have now become unhappy with my wedding venue. We were really excited about it initially. the deal is great, its on budget.

Since then, my work has booked the venue for their Christmas do which has upset me because they only did it after I told them about it. My cousin got engaged and shes having it in some really extravagant location. I attended the other week to a wedding fayre of the venue and it had plaster off the walls and im really upset now.

Ive put a deposit down but contemplating whether to leave it and find another....

    HELP

    Pop

EDIT - THIS THREAD HAS BEEN CLOSED AS YOU HAVE ALREADY DONE A THREAD UNDER A DIFFERENT HEADING BUT ON THE SAME SUBJECT .. PLEASE CONTINUE WITH THE PREVIOUS THREAD ( YOU CAN OF COURSE CHANGE ITS TITLE ) MODS

If you really dislike it then i think you need to find somewhere else for your big day.
Is there any chance y0ou can ask for deposit back saying that you didnt realise the plaster was falling off etc and your not happy?
    xx

My friend went through a lot of wedding venue regret. The venue was scheduled for two weddings on the same day. Some of the accommodation was really basic. The food was decent but nothing to rave about. Her mother pointed out other flaws during the visit, and brought them out throughout her planning.

Thing is the venue was within budget. Everyone that needed accommodation was able to get it at then venue. All the basics were covered food wise. The booze was cold and the company good. No one cared about the flaws. Weddings are about the love between a couple and the support of family and friends. It's the people that make the day.

My point is that many of the things you've brought up won't matter on the day. The plaster will be repaired and the Christmas do long forgot. From what I remember of an earlier post about your venue the coordinator was very receptive about your concerns. Perhaps you should bring up your new concerns with her, especially regarding the Christmas party.

Why did you fall in love with your venue initially? Have you brought up your concerns with the venue?
