when i was first looking for my daughter and sons outfits for our wedding (flower girl and page boy) i asked htb if he wanted our niece and nephew to be involved and he said no making a big deal about how he's not paying for their outfits etc. last night we were talking and now he's decided that we should have them involved and have 2 page boys and 2 flower girls and got all huffy with me when i said there will be some problems with the outfits. we can get the suit for our nephew, but the dress we have for my daughter is no longer in the shops. its the ladybird communion dress and is stunning, but i now cant find it anywhere not even the bay of e!!!! i've looked for something similar, but cant find anything. because my colour scheme is red burgundy and ivory i've looked at red/burgundy ones but cant find anything that is the right shade (there seems to be so many different reds) and i cant carry an adults bridesmaid dress round the shops with me to find the right one and i dont want to change my daughters dress as i love it. am i being to stubborn???????

Your not being stubborn! Can't you speak to your nieces Mum and give her the job of tracking the dress down?

tell him if he can find the exact same dress for her in her size then yes otherwise no lol id sit him down and explain the problem and remind him that you asked him before you got the dresses!! if it comes to it maybe get them 2 separate dresses and if you still want them both the same then let your daughter have her original one for the evening party mayb?? that way it a compromise??

our neice is only 5 1/2 so theres not much i can do with her other then flower girl and her mum is an idle jealous so and so so i very much doubt her helping. i'll just have to keep looking if i find one then great if not its tough :/

Can you not take a strap with you or maybe the cord if it is a corset back? How about searching ebay for another ladybird dress? Either that or put her in another ivory dress and then find some fabric to make a burgundy sash?

I agree with the idea of reminding h2b that you asked him before you bought the dress and say that if he can find the same dress in the right size then no problem but if not tough because he has left it till the last minute and you ahve far too much to be worrying about at this stage xx
