I have always said that I wanted a ivory and red themed wedding, but when I read the post on making a brooch bouquet I have orded loads of broches ( I got a bit carried away) which are lilac, pink and light green. The reason im thinking if changing is not for the brooches I have ordered but I have ones from my grandma which arethese colours and also our children bought me some a few years ago which too are these colours. I dont think I would be able to have a pastal bouquet and a red theme do you?

Go for it. Just get some big red ones that stand out in it to tie it in

What I have learnt from this wedding planning thing is just go with what feels right as everything is tied together by you and your partner so don't worry about colours just that you like them x

I agree just go with the flow, if ur still up for red maybe get few big red ones like Emily says and see how they look n if not happy then change colours to suit it :) we started off with navy blue and I always said I never wanted pink as colour for our wedding, but it has crept in haha and we are having dusty pink flowers and thinking of putting it in elsewhere too. X

Could you use red ribbon around the "stem" of the bouquet or red material around it to hold it all together if that makes sense?

If changing colours is right for what you want then do it. X

Honestly, no-one will notice if you have a red and ivory theme with a bouquet with pastel colours.. no-one will think anything of it , wouldn't worry, but if you want to change to whole colour scheme then do :)

Luckily I have only bought favour bags so far. As for the bouquet I am waiting for the brooches to arrive
