I just had a thought about our favours. We were going to get a wine and bottle opener for everyone but it would have cost £123 for them so I thought I would see if they were cheaper on the well know auction sight. I couldnt find those cheaper however I saw some perfume/aftershave viels which was £19 for 100 of them. They are only really small bottles but they would be far cheaper....

What do you think. Would you be happy with a small viel of purfume for a favour..

we were going to do it originally. we were really cheeky though and went round all the perfume counters in a major department store and explained that i was getting married and was looking to give perfume samples as favours. we got 60 female fragrances and 20 male after shaves just for asking! then we put the wedding back for a bit so me and my mum ended up using the girlies ones and my brother had the male ones.

just go round and ask at a big shopping centre you'd be surprised, even if they give you one just say can i have a couple to try over the next few days to see if i really like it.

Im gonna have a word with my MIL she is the one insiting on me having favours lol I wouldnt have bothered with them otherwise. The bottle stoppers are £2.95 each and the bottle openers are £1.90 each and they match my theme very nicely but with being over budget something need to give.... These are the favours I want!

H2B has decided he prefers the wine stopper and bottle opener.... Every time I come up with idea's to save money he says he doesnt like it. We have £2000 to cut and he wont budge on anything he just says he wants the day to be perfect.

The perfumes are a great idea I'd be happy with that. I discovered a little stall at a wedding fayre that had little bottles of liqueurs in fruity flavours, the lady was very obliging when I asked to test and even with a bit of a hangover I still loved them. She even puts labels on with your names and wedding dates. We're going to use these for the grown ups/drinkers. There are lots of little sweets and chocs out there but I wanted something a little bit different. x

The bottle openers and stoppers are lovely, but if budget doesn't allow them then I think the perfume will be fine.

I love the stoppers too but like everyone said if your budget doesnt allow then the perfume would do just as well and i would be very happy with that!

I would love the perfume - every wedding I have been to recently has been sweets or cakes of some sort - very boring! (not good when you're trying to lose 3 stone either lol) so perfume would be great : )

Bottle stoppers are nice and they can be given to male and female guests, saves you having to have two different things, but like others have said, if budget doesn't allow, the perfume idea is different and who doesn't like perfume! Keep looking at favour sites though as there are always special offers to be had.
