    Hey Girlies!

Just been looking for companys who I may hire chair covers and sashes from around the lake district, but there are only a few, and they're really expensive! Cheapest I've found is £2.35 per chair, coming to £141 total. £141 that could be put towards something else I am thinking.

Does anyone else have any ideas how to get around them. My venues chairs aren't to bad, I just think they really finish the room off, and it would look a bit bare without them.

    Ideas ideas ideas :) xxx

I'm not having chair covers at all. If your chairs aren't that bad, then they're really not necessary.

We aren't having covers, as we are hiring the chairs that we want. But instead of chair covers you could make some small pomanders to tie on the backs of the chairs, or (and I know I always suggest this) you could make paper pom-poms which are cheap and easy to make and look great, I have made 6 big ones for hanging in our small marquee and have some pics in my album. xx

I was thinking of using thick ribbon or chair sashes round the backrest and popping a rose in the bow. My venues chairs are lovely deep red velvet and I think it would be a waste to cover them, x

we are having chair covers as not all the chairs match and they are blue, and our scheme is burgundy, so thought it was important :) x

We're having chair covers for our civil ceremony but whilst we're having piccies taken, they're going to move the chairs through to the reception room to save us paying for 2 lots! I was thinking of putting a little flower arrangement on each chair at either side of the aisle but might have to cancel that as it could bump the cost up.

Kazza, thats a good idea with the thicker ribbon!

I have added a picture to my albums of what the chairs at my venue are like. They're not bad. Just clashing BIG TIME with my colour scheme of turquoise and purple :(

With they chairs I would use the thick ribbon over the backs. Being honest tho I think ppl at the wedding will be more interested in seeing how gorgeous you look on the day to notice the colour of the chairs :) x
