    Hi All!

Sorry couldn't find a category for my question but what I need help with is......we are getting married in the hotel and we would like to reserve the first few rows for family members. We have done a small seating plan which we will give to ushers for the wedding but I was wondering if anyone else has done this? If you put something on the seat with the persons name? Also have 2 people doing readings who we would like to sit at end of row so easy for them to get out.

This might sound slight picky but there is a reason behind this madness lol - my mil still mentions at her nephews wedding over 6 years ago that she felt she should have had a seat closer to the front. I just would like to prevent someone going on at me for years after about where they sat lol

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated xx

I made little "reserved for" (and then a list of the people i wanted to sit there) for the first 2 pews in Church just to make it clear and to avoid my Husbands Mum accidently ending up next to his Dad lol. I did them to match the order of service and asked the best men to distribute them before the service xxx

Thanks PB, thats a good idea to get it to match order of service. I've never been to a wedding where seats are reserved so just wanted some advice. What size were they?

Did people find that ok? xx

Little name cards on the seats will be fine :-) Give the ushers a list of the people and they can tell those people specifically that they have a seat reserved on this row..
I am placing reserved cards on the first 2 rows, 1st row for the wedding party, and second row for our aunties and uncles.. The rest is free for all..
Every wedding I have been to has had at least the 1st row reserved, but to be honest, unless someone is a wedding virgin, most people know they are for the wedding party anyway (BM's parents etc..) xxx

As Georgi said, most people are aware of wedding etiquette but I think that matching name cards to the OoS would make a really nice touch :)
