We've decided on a string quartet for the ceremony, and are now starting to think about the music we want. I know I want to walk in to Canon in D, and we think we want Adele Make you feel my love for signing the register. Just wondering how many pieces we need in total? Is it one for walking in, 1-2 for signing the register, then one to walk out to? (so, 4 in total) I'm totally clueless when it comes to the ceremony :-s

Are they going to play music while everyone is getting seated?

Yes; they're arriving at 12pm, guests will arrive by 12.30pm (I imagine most will arrive closer to 12pm though, hence getting them to arrive earlier). Ceremony is at 1pm, and I'll be arriving at 12.45pm to meet with the registrar, so they will probably stop at 12.45pm, and then recommence when I walk in. They're also doing the drinks reception. I'm not bothered about asking for specific pieces while guests are being seated, just want to know how many pieces we need to pick for the ceremony itself; it's been hard enough finding one we like for signing the register, so praying we only need like another 1 or 2 lol

I think four sounds like enough, they should be able to loop the music as well to fill the time if need be during the registrar signing, etc.

    That's great, thank you :-)

I seriously have no idea how ceremonies work lol, I've never been to one; should probably try to watch one or something to get an idea!
